Cooking Classes and Schedule

We offer a variety of cooking classes depending on your child’s stage–from baby’s first smooth puree to finger foods for toddlers to meals for your entire family. Parents who take our classes go home with a week’s worth of organic meals and snacks they can stick in the fridge or freezer, as well as the recipes and confidence to recreate the same meals at home. And because we know “short order cook” isn’t your dinnertime goal, we provide tips on how to turn the baby and toddler recipes we create into meals your whole family will love.  Our schedule is as follows:

Stay tuned for more classes coming in Summer 2016 that will cover the following stages:

PUREES
We’ll prepare a variety of single-ingredient organic purees, and let you mix, match, and blend to create a palate of fruit and veggies that your new little eater will love. You’ll go home with 24 portions of food! Even more, we’ll prepare a dish for you that incorporates those purees (in case your husband says, “What did you cook for me? Oh right, he needs to eat, too. You’ll also learn: how to prepare purees at home based on the tools you have in your kitchen; cooking techniques that retain the most nutrients; how to introduce solids to baby.

TEXTURES

Ideal for babies who have graduated beyond single and double ingredient purees. This class incorporates chunkier textures and is baby’s first introduction to meat, dairy, and grains. We make meals your whole family will love (because we know short order cook isn’t your dinner time goal!), including: risottos, soups, stews, pasta dishes, smoothies, and more! Recommended ages: 8 months and up.

FINGER FOODS AND TODDLER MEALS
What an independent eater your little one is! At this stage, we prepare easy-to-eat finger foods to tots can pick up with their chubby little fingers. And since strong opinions form at this stage, we use veggies in fun and creative (and yes, hidden) ways to satisfy your little food critic. All the foods we prepare are those your entire family will eat, including: muffins, meatballs, fritters, quiches, and a whole bunch of other healthy and delicious fare. Recommended ages 10 months through toddlerhood.

FAMILY MEALS (NEW!)
Forget about takeout! Dinner is done when you take this class. We’ll prepare three healthy, family-friendly meals that feed a family of 4 that you can take home with you to eat the following few days or freeze until you’re ready to use. The only thing left for you to think about is what to do with all your extra free evenings!
